She was then adopted by Kenneth Taylor an American expat and his wife Eden. She explained that for the next 10 years she spent the majority of her days working on the family farm and taking care of chores. Bryner is her brother and she has two adopted sisters. When she was 13, the family relocated to Texas in the United States, except for two of her sisters who were older. They were still in the Phillipines. Poarch was an officer in the United States Navy, and was stationed there. Bella said that her father was abusive and neither her brother nor she had school buddies.
